World needs me to be a Lotus driver.

Lotus drivers are a special kind of dedicated. At work I once saw a very pregnant woman climb out of a fully track prepped (big splitter, big diffuser, big wing, fat tires, track stickers on the C-pillar, tech sticker on the windshield) Elise like it was no big deal.

Someone needs to clean the snow off their car.

Also, but I need four wheel drive and 6 inches of ground clearance.*

I’m pretty sure the Elise uses relatively narrow tires, probably super easy to find affordable winter rubber for a good price. I’d drive an Elise in a few inches of snow if I has WS80s on it.

Until you’re stuck behind them on a minor incline, waiting for their tires to gain traction as the Lotus slowly slides backwards as it inches ever closer to your vehicle.

Although narrrow tires help, low profile jacks the price way up. Those wheels are far too big for cheap winter tires. I’d guess $800 for the set.

the kid probably was born with shaken baby syndrome. I’ve heard track prepped cars don;t have the smoothest ride.

Still cool when people have their cool cars out in weather. Taking it out in weather means it gets driven, which is awesome.

I can’t deny that, just saying it wouldn’t be cheap.

Although proper winters are cheaper than what I hope to run as a “winter” on my car once I burn up my Blizzaks, since it doesn’t snow here much and I need something that has a wider temperature range.

“Blizzard” warning. I can still see most of my pavement. Soooo glad I bought a snowblower...

I consider that pretty damn cheap for a set of winter tires. I paid over a thousand to find winter rubber for my F-Type.

Just looking at that picture, there’s no way those are 45 or 50 profile tires.

I just used 2008 Elise stock numbers for the tires. But also for a 195 tire, 50 profile is still a relatively low profile if you think about it. 97.5mm sidewall, my Jag takes 275/35s which come out to a 96.25 mm sidewall, and its a super low profile tire.
